2025 NFL Free Agency, Live Updates: AFC East
6 min read
New York Jets free agent CB D.J. Reed agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions.
The AFC East’s 2025 free agency/offseason period began with a couple of subtractions from the head coaching ranks. The New England Patriots parted ways with first-year coach Jerod Mayo and opted for one of his former teammates in Mike Vrabel. Vrabel sported a 5-2 playoff record as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. Vrabel promptly hired former Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to the same position.
The Patriots weren’t the only ones who went back to the archives for a former player. The New York Jets hired former first-round pick Aaron Glenn as its new head coach. Glenn comes over from Detroit and brought several of his coaching mates from Motown to the Big Apple. Miami has been relatively quiet during the early portion of the offseason but have several decisions to make regarding a deep list of free agents. Can Buffalo continue on its climb to reach an elusive Super Bowl?
