2026 NFL Free Agency, Live Updates: NFC West
9 min read
Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl WR-KR Rashid Shaheed (No. 22 pictured) returned both a kickoff and punt for touchdowns in 2025.
The NFC West‘s 2026 offseason/free agency period followed an NFC Championship game which featured two of its teams. A week after eliminating an NFC West opponent in San Francisco, Seattle welcomed the LA Rams to Lumen Field. Once they took care of the Rams, the Seahawks defeated New England to win its second world championship.
The NFC West represented the conference in this year’s Super Bowl. And each of its teams has a host of unrestricted free agents set to hit the market.
Once free agency starts on March 11, 2026, please come back to this page to find where each of these players land. We update coaching changes, free agent transactions and player movement through the end of April.

2025 Free Agency/Draft/Offseason recap:
Re-signing Tutu Atwell was only good for a couple of catches during the regular season. And then he was invisible during the team’s playoff run despite being healthy. Will the unrestricted free agent be back in 2026? Regardless, the addition of Davante Adams yielded huge returns. The veteran’s 14 touchdowns in the regular season were only curbed by a late season hamstring injury. He returned in time to set up the team’s game-winning field goal in the divisional round on a tight rope act.
OC Coleman Shelton (Bears) and OT Alaric Jackson were cornerstones up front. The team reunited with Shelton and signed Jackson to a three-year extension. Meanwhile, the free agent acquisition of Nate Landman (Falcons) proved to be a steal. Landman led the team with 132 tackles. The same can be said for DT Poona Ford. The Rams run defense improved from 22nd in 2024 to 12th in 2025. Ford deserves at least some of the credit.
Second-round draft pick Terrance Ferguson was a big part of the team’s three tight end packages in 2025. He averaged 21 yards per catch on 11 receptions (3 TDs). And, while third-rounder Josaiah Stewart didn’t start a game, he still finished with three quarterback sacks.

2025 Free Agency/Draft/Offseason recap:
The signing of DE Josh Sweat (Eagles) was a big hit. Sweat posted 12 quarterback sacks and forced four fumbles. Regardless of the new coaching staff Sweat remains a player build around. DL Calais Campbell continues to be the gift that just keeps on giving. Additionally, the 39-year old posted 6.5 quarterback sacks and finished second on the team in tackles for loss. And, on top of that, he started 17 games. DT Dalvin Tomlinson (Browns) and LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (Bengals) were both solid free agent pickups as starters. It remains to be seen if they’ll stick around.
The Cardinals 2025 season was a tale of injuries. Over 20 players ended up on injured reserve. Additionally, many of those were considered key pieces to a potential Year 3 breakout.
On the bright side, 2025 first-round draft pick DT Walter Nolen was productive in six appearances. 2024 first-rounder Darius Robinson is solid as a run defender but still a work in progress as a pass rusher. How will the next coaching staff view 2025 third-round DE Jordan Burch?
More importantly, will 2024 fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison, Jr. outplay 2023 third-rounder Michael Wilson? In fact, Wilson cleared the 1,000-yard mark in 2025 and posted three double-digit reception games in the process.

2025 Free Agency/Draft/Offseason recap:
Talk about hitting a home run. John Schneider and the team’s staff pushed all the right buttons last offseason. Pro Bowl QB Sam Darnold became the first quarterback to lead two different teams to 14 wins in back-to-back seasons. Some of that success centered around the addition of first-round OG Grey Zabel. Zabel started every game for the team in 2025.
DT Leonard Williams may be regretting his contract restructure after a dominant 2025 campaign. In fact, the 31-year old earned second-team AP All-Pro honors after a stellar campaign. He was complemented by DE-OLB Demarcus Lawrence (Cowboys). Lawrence -who returned two fumbles for touchdowns against Arizona in Week 9- earned Pro Bowl honors for the fifth time.
They were aided by the addition of 2025 second-round pick S Nick Emmanwori. Emmanwori totaled 81 tackles, an interception and 11 passes defensed in just 11 starts. The 21-year old has a bright future in Seattle.

2025 Free Agency/Draft/Offseason recap:
Many assume the fifth-rounder (147th overall) Washington gave up to the 49ers was used to take fifth-round pick Marques Sigle. The Sigle selection (160th overall) was acquired from the Minnesota Vikings. Running back Jordan James -the 147th overall pick- suffered a broken finger during camp and missed valuable preseason reps. James was a healthy scratch in many games. Sigle was a pleasant Day 3 surprise, as he finished with 52 tackles in seven starts.
The 49ers also got starts from a couple of re-signed veterans in OL Ben Bartch (two), RB Patrick Taylor, Jr. (one) and LB Curtis Robinson (three).
A host of injuries flooded the roster in 2025. John Lynch and the team’s personnel department deserve credit for its work last offseason. QB Mac Jones (Patriots) completed 70-percent of his passes (13 TDs, 6 INTs) and went 5-3 in eight starts for the injured Brock Purdy. WR Demarcus Robinson (Rams) exploded for a six-catch, 111-yard, one-touchdown performance in the team’s Wild Card playoff victory.
After initially releasing FB Kyle Juszczyk last offseason, the team’s decision to re-sign him paid huge dividends. He caught nearly everything thrown his way en route to first-team All-Pro honors for the second time.
Defensively, LB Luke Gifford (Titans) earned a well-deserved Pro Bowl berth on special teams. The former Titan also started nine games. The same held true for free agent acquisition LS Jon Weeks (Texans). The 39-year old earned the second Pro Bowl berth of his career in 2025.
2025 fourth-round pick DT CJ West may take another step forward in 2026. After releasing DT Maliek Collins a year ago, the 49ers failed to replicate his production inside.
