Former Miami (Fla.) safety Kamren Kinchens ranks as one of the most instinctive safeties in school history. The Hurricanes have a rich tradition at the position, fielding names such as New England Patriots All-1980s safety Fred Marion, three-time All-Pro Bennie Blades and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed, just to name a few.
Kinchens -a 2022 AP second-team All-American- produced like few in school history. The Miami Northwestern HS (Fla.) became the first Hurricane at the position since the late Sean Taylor to post double-digit interceptions in a career (11).
