Gore, Jr. does whatever it takes on field | 2024 NFL Draft RBs
1 min readThere is not much former Southern Miss running back Frank Gore, Jr. didn’t do in school. Aside from rushing for over 4,000 yards, he also found time to toss seven touchdown passes as a part-time quarterback in 2021. We go inside his Offensive MVP performance in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl and dive into his work at the quarterback position in our video breakdown below.
But when it comes to performing on the biggest stages, it is simply what Gore, Jr. excelled at during school. Who can forget his 2022 Lending Tree Bowl performance, when he also earned MVP honors. In that contest, Gore carried the ball 21 times for an NCAA bowl game record 329 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Per usual, he also found time to throw yet another touchdown pass and completed two-of-three passes on the night.
It marked the school’s first bowl victory since 2016.
The question marks surround pass protection and route-running efficiency at just 5-foot-8, 200 pounds. We also dive into those in Gore, Jr’s video compilation.
