TCU’s Elijah Nunez has played with reckless abandon since he stepped on to campus for the Horned Frogs. He’s fast, sprays the ball around the park as a lefty batter and plays a solid center field.
The Arlington Martin High School (Tex.) product was caught just twice on 22 stolen base attempts in 2023 and concluded 2022 with 31 stolen bases (33 attempts). This correlated well with a .978 career fielding percentage that yielded just eight errors.
In the 14th round of the 2023 MLB Draft, the Washington Nationals selected Nunez with the 405th overall pick.
