Kneeland’s activity makes him attractive Day 2 possibility
1 min read
Western Michigan defensive end Marshawn Kneeland is one of the top defensive ends in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Western Michigan defensive end Marshawn Kneeland’s activity on the field has been evident since his freshman year for the Broncos. As a sophomore in 2021, he teamed up with current Florida State and former Broncos defensive lineman Braden Fiske to wreck havoc on opponents.
During that season, he registered a career-high four-and-a-half quarterback sacks (tied the mark in 2023) and posted eight tackles for losses. His quick hands keep opponents off of his frame when defending the run. Kneeland consistently retraces his steps to the ball in pursuit. Those traits have enabled him to play multiple positions along the team’s defensive front.

He had six tackles and a quarterback sack against Iowa in 2023 after posting seven tackles (TFL) versus Syracuse a week prior.
In our video breakdown, we look back at that sophomore campaign and go into Kneeland’s work during the 2024 Senior Bowl.
