Gray, one of the best linebackers in the ACC, brings a consistent energy to the field that's tough to ignore.
North Carolina linebacker Cedric Gray routinely brought a level of leadership and intensity to the Tar Heels defense. The ACC’s second-leading tackler in 2023 (121) led the conference in that same category (146) a year prior.
The former high school wide receiver posted 143 receptions at the prep level (27 TDs) and used many of those instincts to read the quarterback’s eyes in school. On top of Gray’s three consecutive 100-tackle seasons, forced six fumbles, picked off five passes and recorded 16 pass breakups.
We go inside the impressive showing Gray had against Oregon in the 2022 Holiday Bowl. In the 2024 Senior Bowl, Gray was arguably the best player on the field for most of the afternoon (7 tackles, 2 PBUs).
