White Sox sixth-rounder Gordon stays in control
1 min readFormer Texas LHP pitcher Lucas Gordon, drafted in the sixth round (179th overall) by the Chicago White Sox, signed with the team this week. The Notre Dame High School (Calif.) graduate earned second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2022 as a starting pitcher, although he may project in a reliever’s role in the pros.
This past season, Gordon put together a breakout year of sorts, as he posted a sizzling 3.03 strikeout-to-walk ratio on his way to a 7-2 record (2.63 ERA) and first-team All-Conference honors for the Longhorns.
