Hunter Furtado, pictured, was a strong relief option for the Crimson Tide in 2023. The Pirates selected Furtado with the 167th overall pick in the sixth round of this year's draft.
Alabama relief pitcher Hunter Furtado was taken by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 167th overall pick of the sixth round in the 2023 MLB Draft. The SEC Academic Honor Roll selection did start a couple of games for the Crimson Tide, including once against Kentucky in the 2023 SEC Tournament’s opening round.
