LSU’s Thompson lands with Dodgers in Round 15

Former Freshman All-SEC SS Jordan Thompson (No. 13 pictured) went to the LA Dodgers in the 15th round of this year's draft.
Jordan Thompson, a former high school pitcher from Helix High School (Calif.), developed into a mainstay for the LSU Tigers over a three-year span. He certainly saved his best for last.
Thompson batted in three runs during Game 3 of the 2023 College World Series. A solid defensive shortstop with quick hands, the former Freshman All-SEC performer finished with an impressive 363 assists in his collegiate career.
Developing more pop off the bat will be essential as he begins his minor league journey for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who drafted him with the 460th overall pick in the 15th round of the 2023 MLB Draft.
