Former Auburn third baseman/outfielder Bryson Ware -a Mississippi native who starred at Pearl River Junior College– rebounded from a subpar junior campaign to turn in his best effort as a senior. As a result, the Philadelphia Phillies took the former Tiger with the 253rd overall pick in the eighth round of the 2023 MLB Draft.
Ware increased his batting average by over 100 points in 2023 (.234-to-.350) and tripled his RBI totals (21-to-63). He showed improved plate discipline (30 walks) and managed the plate much more effectively. We go inside Ware’s versatility and improved bat speed in our video spotlight.
